Thin-film adhesion: A comparative study between colored picosecond acoustics and spontaneous buckles analysis

چکیده
This paper presents some quantitative measurements of the adhesion energy thin WTi films deposited on Si substrate. Two different techniques are applied to same sample series. One is a mechanical test based analysis spontaneously formed defects. The second acoustic waves whose reflection at interface between thin-film and substrate sensitive adhesion. An excellent correlation obtained both approaches: measured by buckles coefficient picosecond acoustics. approach offers several advantages among which non-destructive character, compatibility with complex stacks sensitivity detect anomaly even if no defect formed.

15 صفحه اولPicosecond acoustics in polythiophene thin films.
The picosecond correlation technique has been used to study the generation and detection of ultrasonic strain waves in polythiophene thin films, in the range of 0.3-19 6Hz. We show that the strain generation is mainly due to thermal expansion following energy relaxation associated with exciton formation and that the spectral dependence of the strain response is proportional to ja(tv)/&tv, the f...
متن کاملTelephone cord buckles-A relation between wavelength and adhesion
Thin films with low adhesion and large residual stresses may buckle. The resulting morphologies are varied, but one of the most commonly observed is an intriguing oscillating pattern – the so-called ”telephone cord” – which has been extensively investigated in the recent years. We have studied the kinematics of formation of telephone cords using a geometrically non-linear plate model and mode d...
متن کاملapplying transitivity theory to gender analysis of efl textbook: : a comparative study.
efl/esl textbooks have been regarded as essential language teaching materials with which the learners spend about 70 up to 90 percent of their class time. the important role they play and their vast use make them not only influential in learning the language but also in shaping values and attitudes. put it another way, textbooks socialize learners using their contents (i.e. texts, illustrations...

the present study was an attempt to conduct a contrastive analysis between general english (ge) and english for specific purposes (esp) texts in terms of cohesion and cohesive devices. to this end, thirty texts from different esp and ge textbooks were randomly selected. then they were analyzed manually to find the frequency of cohesive devices. cohesive devices include reference, substitution, ...
